Disasters don’t end when they are forgotten

Extended Disaster Relief pledges to raise and sustain disaster awareness, provide monetary and physical support to disaster victims beyond the time of crisis, and to be socially responsible in the aid that we provide with our local partner organizations.

EDR Response to the Earthquake in Haiti

EDR is serving an active role in organizing the collective response to the Haitian Earthquake from students and organizations at UNC-Chapel Hill. To find out ways to help, please visit the EDR’s Haiti page by clicking here.

Pledging continued support to the victims of Katrina

EDR is dedicated to providing long-term aid to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We do this in two ways: first, by holding fundraising and awareness events on the UNC campus and in the larger Chapel Hill/Carrboro community; and second, by taking work trips down to the Gulf Coast.
